CONNECTED VOLUNTEERING NEW MIGRANTS WORKSHOPS


Hume Volunteer Gateway with Volunteer West is holding interactive workshops to support new migrants to engage in volunteering.


Session Information:


2 x two hour sessions per workshop, live virtually via zoom and includes and 1 x 1.5 hour face to face ‘meet and greet’ session with the community organisations.


When:

Tuesday 27 April 2021 : 10am-12pm

What to expect from a volunteering opportunity and rights and responsibilities


Tuesday 4 May 2021 : 10am-12pm

How to find and apply for volunteering opportunities and an action plan to find opportunities.

Tuesday 11 May 2021 : 10am-11.30am


Face to face* meet and greet session with community organisations (location will be advised closer to the date) light refreshments provided this session only. *Note this session may change suddenly to a virtual delivery at short notice due to COVID restrictions.


Participation requirements:


Must be a Hume resident
A new migrant (up to five years)
Able to commit to ALL session dates and have access to a computer with high speed internet and zoom software.
