PROVAN AND ROSENBERG FAMILIES CARPENTRY, JOINERY, CABINET MAKING SCHOLARSHIP
New Scholarship from Melbourne Timber Legends Provans
The families behind Melbourne institution, Provans Timber and Hardware, have announced the donation of an annual award and scholarships to give back to the city’s trade industry which has long supported them.
This scholarship is for students enrolled in or new students enrolling in
- Certificate III in Cabinet Making MSF31113 or
- Certificate III in Joinery CPC31912 or
- Certificate III in Carpentry CPC30211
at Melbourne Polytechnic.
Scholarship Format / Structure
Funding can be used towards
- Tuition & material fees OR
- Tools and equipment required to commence course
Scholarship finance can be paid to complete new enrolments or back paid to reimburse completed enrolments (2021 enrolments only).
Eligibility Criteria
Students eligible for this scholarship are:
- Enrolling in a government funded Melbourne Polytechnic Cert III in Carpentry, Joinery or Cabinet Making in 2021.
- Enrolling in a government funded course as a domestic student (Australian citizen or permanent resident).
- Be able to demonstrate at least one of the following circumstances (other circumstances will be considered based on application)
- financial or educational barrier
- be receiving a Government tested low income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card
- have a long term medical condition or disability which impacts your study
- are from a non-English speaking background and recently migrated to Australia
- are a current or former refugee
- mature aged students looking to change careers into the carpentry and timber trades industry
- relocating from interstate or rural/regional Victoria to Melbourne to study at Melbourne Polytechnic
