REFUGEE YOUTH SPECIALIST - Employability Skills Training

Youth Projects will be running Specialised Employability Skills Training (EST) for refugee and cultural and linguistically diverse young job seekers who are experiencing barriers to employment and want to secure sustainable employment.


Ready, Set, Engage!       Tuesday 23 - Friday 26 April

Specialist pre-engagement activity designed to develop foundation skills to engage into EST activity (i.e. team work, communication & job search/employability literacy & numeracy skills, career development). Youth Projects may be able to provide free transport for participants in Sunbury, Roxburgh Park & Craigieburn.


EST Block 1: Your Path, Monday 29 April - Friday 17 May        Activity ID: 97877972

Covers 10 core skills for work PLUS specialised content for Refugee and CALD cohorts. A minimum of 2 Industry Awareness Experiences, mapping and activating pathways into internships, work experience and jobs. This block includes 2 accredited units.


EST Block 2: Time to Shine,  Tuesday 28 May - Friday 14 June

Industry awareness experiences, enhanced mapping to internships, intensive job searching, résumé development, applying for jobs, mock interviews. This block includes 2 accredited units.
