Skillinvest are seeking a trainees for a Campbellfield location. The successful candidates will work full time whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification. School leavers encouraged.

Join a highly focussed specialist fastener and associated products distributor servicing the manufacturing, engineering, construction, maintenance, petro-chemical, transportation, energy and power industries, primarily throughout the Victorian marketplace.

These role/s will operate on a full-time basis working five days a week.

Duties of the above roles include but are not limited to:

Goods Inwards/Despatch

• Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributor/supplier.

• Assists in unloading and loading.

• Prepare and/or review all necessary paperwork upon shipment receipt or delivery.

• Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, such as suppliers, sub-contractors and logistics companies regarding shipping enquiries.

• Keep records and help with inventory control.

• Processes returns for any defective or incorrect items.

• Participate in regular cycle count process.

• Regular communication with key stakeholder regarding scheduled work requirements.

• Assist in restocking products during downtime.

• Undertake any other tasks assigned by Team Leader or Floor Manager.

Skills and experience

• Fast learner with ability to work with a small team.

• Enthusiastic attitude and strong sense of responsibility

• Physically fit to do manual handling.

• Warehouse stocktake experience preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.

This traineeship will allow you to gain a Certificate III in supply chain operations. This is a nationally recognized qualification and is an entry level position suitable for candidates who have not yet completed a Certificate III qualification or higher.

All wages are paid as per the relevant Award.
